This section will show you samples of my sculptures / assembledge pieces.
I work in a wide varity of found objects. Most of the things are found on the streets, garbage cans, dumpsters, scrap yards, and fields of land where remains can be found of life gone by. Any broken piece of electronics becomes working & useful to me.
About 75% of the pieces are done with these objects, and about 25% are painted, glued or sealed for finishing effects. I use a varity of applications to get my object to obtain its desired structure. Oils, acrylics, enamel, spray paint, blood, and sometimes the natural aging effect of nature contribute to its final stages.
My objects usually resemble the look of some type of cyber-relic or a piece from a shamonic shrine from the future. Some of the objects are interactive with the viewer. You could walk by it and all of a sudden pieces start to wiggle from your movements. Or in other cases magical buttons are pushed and the sculpture comes to life In convulsive spasms to remind you of its life previously forgotten, now remembered.
None of the artifacts (animal or other parts)that are used in my pieces are harmed before use. There are some people who will purposely alter a living organism for the sake of art. I try to bring out the beauty of an object after it's life has expired. There is as much beauty in death as there is in life.
A short introduction to you.
